Just wanted to share how much God is still working through the stories and words Barbara has shared with us. If that is not the grace of God and the Holy Spirit moving, I just don't know what is. See you when we get home Barbara ... keep the flowers fresh and the light on

Hello,
I started reading one of your books, "Splashes of Joy", when I was sitting at my husband's grandmother house and I felt it was a blessing, since there are a lot of things going on in my life and I was very depressed and hopeless; but I realize how wonderful life can be when we take advantage of the Lord's daily blessings.
Thank you

I've been reading Boomerang Joy in my car before I go to work and feel like I'm getting off to such a good start to the day by reading the inspiring messages. Thank you, and I look forward to reading some more of your books!

I have been reading your books since "Splashes ..." first came out. You have been such an inspiration to so many people and I aim to one day have the same impact in other peoples lives as you had in mine. there is no other way to say this but, "YOU ROCK GIRL". Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you have imprinted in my life. Be blessed!

Several years ago I went with a friend to Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN to hear Barbara speak. It was the most tremendous day for the both of us. We laughed. We cried. And we learned about God in such a personal way. Today, many years later and not knowing that Barbara had passed away, I needed to listen to her cassette tapes I bought that day. The tapes were scratchy and squeaked, but I made it through thinking I would contact Barbara and get replacements for them. I am so saddened to learn that she is no longer with us, but I know that Heaven is brighter with her there. What a wonderful, joyous, caring mother you had. Her legacy is priceless. I am so thankful for the one opportunity I had to hear her in person, and I wish she knew that I started buying Sparkles after that. May God bless her ministry and you as you carry on in her name.

I found Barbara's book "The Best of Barbara Johnson" and it is so good to know that there are other mom's who are also Christians who go through this roller coaster. We found out in January our 20 year old son is gay. He's living with us as he attends tech school, and we are getting along fairly well. The problem is we are quite certain he is bipolar because of his other behaviors, and it runs in the family as well as suicides and attempted suicides. The psychiatrist he went to decided he was a "perfectly fine young man" and won't look into the bipolar possibility as he thinks it's us who need to be straightened out. He was probably told how my husband and I were involved with the pro-marriage campaign for a number of years in our state.
We're basically doing just what Barbara recommended and just love him and let God work, but I am concerned that eventually he will hit a real low because of the bipolar and I worry about that.

I was just thinking about Barbara as I sat down at my computer, so did a search. So sad to hear she has died, but I know she is with her precious Lord. I have read most of her books after reading Put a Geranium in your Hat, which helped me through a bad time in my life. I have lent, given and recommended her books to many of my friends.
May God bless you all who carry on her work for the Lord through the Foundation.

Never even heard of Barbara Johnson till I followed a link on YouTube. I ended up watching every video on YouTube I could find, then went to this site hungry for more. Literally, not figuratively, I LAUGHED OUT LOUD.

Wish my parents could listen to her on the subject of homosexuality.
