Barbara Johnson was truly a Woman of Faith. Only eternity will tell how many lives she touched. Though I've never met her personallY, I really grew to know her through her books which are such a delight and encouragement.

I was surprised to hear of Barbara's passing from this life into the arms of Jesus. What a great joy this sister was. I love to read so many of her book and will continue to reread them and still be encouraged. In the sweet by and by we will meet on that beautiful shore! How glorious!

Barbara's books always made me laugh and I am sad to know that there will be no more inspiring tales from her. I am happy to know that someday I'll see her in heaven and that the Lord gets to enjoy her humor in person now.

I have listened to Barbara over the years and read her books. No matter what the problem is, her message of faith, trust, joy, and laughter has helped me cope. Thank you, Barbara and thank you, David for continuing this much needed and much appreciated ministry.

We were busy at my Mothers side as she also went home in early July. I wish that more men would have learned from her. I am greatful my Mother shared her with both of us. Barbara was a friend to us through our dealing with cancer and other family heart aches, even though we never saw her face (but we saw her heart instead).

Jo Ann Marshall, I am a mom who wants to talk too. I found out about my son the same week that you signed the guestbook. Barbara died before I could know her. I have her books now, but I too am searching for the parents of SSA kids. We are the hidden minority within church communities. There are support groups for almost everything else. But this is the lifestyle where the child, when outed, seems free and the parents get locked up with pain and shame and hiding. I want to connect to others who love the lord and grieve what is and hope for what can be. I am slowly finding resources and help. How I wish spatula were still running support groups. Let's pray in the next generation of support and help for the broken hearts, lives, and families. God bless you all.

We recently learned of our son's homosexual orientation. Unless parents experience this for themselves, they will never know the heartbreak and devastation this can bring. I desperately searched for any material I could find on this very complex issue that's hitting the church very hard these days. I found Barbara's book "Where Does a Mother Go to Resign" very encouraging and I refer to it often when I'm feeling despair. Our son was given to God at birth. We believe He has a plan for our son and will see it to completion in His time. It's important that as parents we pray for wisdom and grace in relating our our homosexual children. Also that we will get out of the way and allow God to do what we can't.
