:grin :cry I have just read my first book of Miss Barb's and now to have found out that I have lost such a great new friend has left me speechless. I send prayers and love to all the family and friends. May our good Lord raise up a few more joy-spreaders to keep the hope aflame. Barbara...we miss you. Until we meet in the air,we will look for the joy in the little things as you taught.

Good Morning: I just recently learned of Barbara's death and was very saddened. However, so looking forward to meeting her in heaven some day. Bought her first book for my mother in law after she too had brain surgery. What an uplifting book. After that, I was hooked and looked forward to reading all of her books. May God richly bless the rest of the family.

Barbara was such an encouragment to me. I first read her "Geranium" book in winter of 1990, when I was experiencing a "nervous breakdown". Her humor and outlook on life was just what I needed. I have loved all of her books and God seemed to know just when I needed a particular one. I remember when I discovered some very heartbreaking news about our oldest daughter, shortly after that "I'm So Glad You Told Me What I Didn't Want To Know" came out. I could have written that book... she knew exactly what I was going through at the time.
May God continue to bless her ministry, for I believe it will continue until Jesus returns!

I have all but three of Barbara's books. She had helped me through some very difficult times with my children. I had cried and laughed while reading her books. And through it all I found healing. The broken peices of my heart began to mend and I found joy again.
I will always remember her and love her. I have been home sick to see my heavenly home now I have one more person to look forward to seeing when I get there.
I just found out today that she had passed on. I cried because I am going to miss her but I am happy for her that she is no longer suffering as she had been.
Thank you Barb's family for this wonderful web site to pay tribute to her.

Many years ago I was given one of Barbara Johnson's books. It set on my bookshelf for a couple of years before I even opened it. When I did I was apalled, how could my oldect daughter give me such a book? What she didn't know was that her only brother was gay. I threw the book away. Since that time through circumstances too numerous to mention right now, everyone in the immediate family & some in our extended family know. Some of them want to take my son out & horsewhip him (or worse). I could only love him & some made me feel guilty for doing so. Thank you for your website and your words of encouragement. I will keep you in my prayers.
