My heart was so sad when I heard about Barbara's passing yet full of joy as well. I am one of Barbara's mothers. When I learn my son was gay I felt so alone. Then a friend gave me a copy of "Where Does A Mother Go to Resign?" And I found hope from another mother. After reading the book I wrote Barbara. And to my surprise a few weeks later I answered the phone one day and it was her. Then I got a box in the mail with newsletters plus a video and other things to encourage me. And a couple of years later I stood in line to meet Barbara at A Women Of Faith Conference. And I got a hug from her. And told her I was one of her mothers. Because of Barbara I learned the one thing that matters the most was that I love my son unconditionally. And always keep the porch light on. I wrote her many times. In fact I am in one of her books as the mother from Alabama. And I have a signed copy of that book. Because of Barbara I have had the courage to reach out to other mothers who are hurting. And I always tell them no matter what love their child unconditionally and keep the porch light on just like Barbara told me. David thanks for keeping your mother's ministry going. Each month I still look for my newsletter. I read them and pass them on. I have all of Barbara's book plus a "joy" box and I keep a "joy" journal all because of your mother's example of living out her life with "joy".

Hi too all from Australia!

Please pass my condolences onto Barbara's family. Her books, which I am rapt to say I've purchased 5 of, will be read from cover to cover many, many times. I'm sure there is a bountiful garden of geraniums just for Barbara in heaven.

God bless all,

Carmel Davies,
Vic, Australia

Dearest Barbara:

Your two books: "Fresh Elastic for Stretched Out Moms" and "God's Most Precious Jewels are Crystallized Tears" are very precious to me.

Thank you for not only allowing the Lord to use your personal life and family members for his glory--but those other "men and women" who dared to become vulnerable for the sake of the gospel and the betterment of God's people.

Continue In His Love, while we (your reading public and intercessors) continue to further the statement that "God Can and God Will!"

I submit to you sisterly love,

Diane

I sometimes buy your past books to share with a friend when I don't know how to help them. I offer them a hug, a prayer and one of your books! You are truly a vessel God is using to bless hurting people.

I keep Irrepressible Hope at my desk, so every morning I read. I just read Heavenly Healing and it touched me and I felt the need to thank her and promise to share when I am done!

I've bought, given, been given as gifts your books for many years & was so glad to learn you had a personal newsletter. I'll always remember seeing you at a conference & hearing you speak & your bubbly laugh.

Hi, I want to say thanks for all your books and your words! I'm just a 26 years old single, but I read some of your books in Spanish. They're so special for me, and they give support in many situations. THANKS!

Dear Barbara,

I read your books over and over again. I own them all and tell others about them often. I was lucky enough to meet you one time; you are a wonderful lady! Keep up the good work, and feel better soon.

My Dearest Barbara:

I pray that you recover fully from your surgeries. I have learned about the work that you are doing and I applaud you, although I am very busy I cannot read everything that you do.

And I encourage you to continue, you have some wonderful people behind you and you couldn't ask for better, I just hope that you will be able to bring your message about faith fully to the community at large.

Thank you so much for your passion for the Lord.
