I'm a mother of 3 great kids; who are moving forward into adulthood life. This is a very challenging time for me, and I just heard about your mother's books! What an awesome blessing her books have been to so many families! God bless you!

I have just recently found Barbara's books! The title caught my attention because it was EXACTLY how I feel. I am not yet finished reading, because I have to stop frequently just to wipe the tears- I can't believe how much I feel just like she describes!!! I'm not going crazy!!! I am so very thankful for her ministry and her books- there really is hope for me. It is nice to finally find someone who understands and can explain it to me! What a blessing when I really needed it!

I'm writing this to let you know that your mom's book "Where Does a Mother Go to Resign" really helped me when I first learned that my daughter was gay... I was suspecting it for awhile, but she "came out" so to speak. The pain is still great but God has been my sustainer. I would love to be able to talk with other Christian mothers who are going thru this same crisis to be ministered thru them and maybe minster to them, as well. God bless your mom!

Hello

Ive just sent you a long e-mail so I'll be brief. I was saddened to hear about Barbara's passing she touched so many lives. I can only thank and praise God that He is in my life, that He loves me and blesses me and gives me strength each and every day of my life as I would never have come this far alone.

I lost my only son almost 11 years ago and then my dad and much more. Her books have encouraged, inspired, made me laugh and cry and helped me and I still re-read the 2 I have managed to buy to this day. I would dearly love to be of help to others who have lost children or are in trouble but don't really know how to go about it. I joined a group called "Compassionate Friends" in Johannesburg who have a wonderful set-up and do a fantastic job with grieving families. There is a branch here in Cape Town but it is much smaller and situated in the centre of Cape Town and I live in the South and as I don't have a reliable car to get around right now I don't go to their meetings. Hopefully things will improve in my life and things will change so that I can be of some service somehow to someone.

Kindest regards
Karen

I love all the books I have found. I am not a mom or anything like that but I can relate to the things she wrote. It's funny. It gave me perspective I didn't see before: My mom's side. I used to listen to her books on tape when I wanted to die years ago; I figure if she could live through all she did, I could live through my rough time. I wore that tape out. I no longer want to die. My life is better now. I should get out those tapes again. I like listening to tapes while I am on the computer. I am glad I have the Internet. I have been wanting to write Barbra for a long while, and I see that I am too late. I will just have to tell her when I get to heaven. She always wanted in her book to get raptured.

C'ya soon Barbra!

Please accept my condolences, I did not know Barbara died. I read all her books and wondered how she could possibly bear the things she could go through. The loss is clearly ours, but who can deny her promotion to heaven? Long live Barbara's legacy! Thanks so much, God, for her life, books, and videos. :cry

I just read my first Barbara Johnson book and WOW!!! It was incredible!

She is with the God of God's! She is finally with her sons and husband and I am sure they are all laughing up there at some of the zany things she is saying!!

Years ago, I read my first Barbara Johnson book after finding it in the humor section at the library. With 6 young children, I needed all the humor I could find. Little did I know then that God was preparing me for the time one one of my boys announced he was gay. Thank God I had read those books and didn't react in the way I am sure I would have if it were not for her advise to others. God prepared me years ahead. I know that this son has God's word hidden in his heart (somewhere under all the junk) and God's word will not return void. When I saw that David took over this ministry, it gave me great hope. Thank you! :p

Wow! I found the book - Stick a Geranium-b happy at a thrift store and it looked very good. I am glued to it. It has been just what I needed and there are several friends who need it to and they will be getting it when I'm done. Was devastated when I pulled up the site to see she had passed - I've lost my mom and it is hard - I'm sorry. As soon as I finish this one I will be ordering the rest.
