My sympathy to you.
Barbara Johnson is one of my favorite authors. I have all her books and cards and give them to people as encouragement. I saw her many times at Women of Faith.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and fans.

Farewell to the Great Encourager
So sorry to hear about the Earthly loss of Barbara, especially for all her family and those who have been encouraged by her. Surely she has gone to be with God, a place of health and happiness. What a wonderful role model she was. Whenever I would start feeling sorry for myself I think of Barbara and all she went through and how she turned her trials into triumphs, using them as a way to show others how to cope. Her legacy will live on for a very long time.

Deposit in Heaven
I was brought to tears with the news of Barbara's death. My prayers go out to her family and friends. The first thought I had was that she is now one of the deposits in heaven that she referred to her son's who passed away before her. God got a great deposit with this one, and I am sure he is having a great belly laugh with Barbara around to brighten his day. She will be missed so very much by all.

Goodbye Barbara
I'm so sorry for your loss. I was able to see Barbara once in person many years ago. What an impact she made on my life and how she made me laugh. I know she will be greatly missed by all who knew her or knew of her. I am reminded of Revelations 14:13-14: "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the spirit, they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them."
She is home now and will have eternal rest for all her good deeds will now be rewarded by the Lord. May we all learn from Barbara to live in the joy of the Lord always.
God Bless

Thank you Barbara
My prayers are with the family during this time. Barb has been an inspiration to me since 1991 when I was introduced to her in a book given to me by a friend during the time of my father's death. I always looked forward to her next book. She will be missed, but we will one day see her in glory. She is now with the love ones who have gone on before her, and I feel she was welcome with open arms at heavens gate.
Blessings to her family.

So long for now, Barb!
Although I never had the opportunity to meet Barb, I have been, and continue to be, inspired by her! Her love for all God's people, her humor, and her ability to find something to laugh at even in the toughest of times are lessons we can all learn from. She will be sorely missed.

My thoughts of Barbara
I was so sorry to read of Barbara's passing. She was, indeed, a wonderful lady and her books were such a joy - I got her "geranium" book and shared it with many friends. One of my friends said it truly rescued her as she was struggling over learning her son was gay. I shared all her books with many friends, and gave them as gifts all these years. She will be sorely missed - I also have the "Women of Faith" devotional and always look forward to the days that Barbara shared her thoughts.
